RUZIVO, Zimbabwean Marimbas are back. [Ruzivo website] In 1999 the Kulshan Chorus performed in concert with Zimbabwean marimbas in a powerful and colorful concert at the Mt. Baker Theatre
Under the direction of Paul Mataruse, Ruzivo includes 7 marimbas including the giant bass. The Kulshan Chorus will join with Ruzivo to perform traditional Shona music, from Zimbabwe. Ruzivo will be playing traditional instrumental Zimbabwean music in addition to the tunes sung with the chorus. The music is not limited to that of Zimbabwe, but includes fascinating music from Brazil, West Africa, South Africa and Russia.

Musicians, familiar to our audience, Lou Lippman, Warren Talken, John Flancher have formed the group THE PRAWNS and will be included in the evening concert with songs such as: Oh, Happy Day, Loves Me Like A Rock, That Lonesome Road, and more.

ACAPELLA music too: On Children, America the Beautiful, We Shall Overcome, What's the Life of A Man and many more wonderful songs.
