   Why the name Kulshan?

Mt Baker in Whatcom County

Kulshan was the original name for the strikingly beautiful mountain that dominates the skyline of our home city of Bellingham, and most of Whatcom County, Washington.

Mt. Kulshan's name was changed by the British in 1792 and is now known as Mt. Baker.
