Welcome to the Kulshan Chorus!

The purposes of the Kulshan Chorus are to contribute to the artistic and educational environment of our community, to provide a means by which a highly diverse group of musicians and artists can enhance their skills, and to share this experience through performances and workshops, which emphasize a richly varied cultural heritage.

Who We Are:
The Kulshan Chorus is a private, non-profit, educational organization operated by an elected Board of Directors, a handful of volunteers, and a few paid employees.

For information on the current board members, employees, and fabulous volunteers, see Operations.

Our Policies:
Rehearsals:
•We meet every Thursday from 7:00 to 9:15 p.m., though we may run late on occasion. If you arrive late, please enter quietly to avoid disrupting the rehearsal.
• Regular, on-time attendance is very important – everyone counts in Kulshan Chorus! We aim for 80 percent attendance. Please contact Jack if you must be absent, and discuss with Roger any change in your schedule that necessitates prolonged absence. If you decide to drop out, please do so by the 4th week of rehearsal.
• Our use of the Jones Moles Funeral Home includes use of the practice room, entry and lavatories. No liquids or food are allowed in the sanctuary.
Practice CDs of the season’s music will be provided to all members. It is your responsibility and you are highly encouraged to listen and practice with the CDs.
• Children are to be under the supervision of an adult, and are not to be running around.
• Please wear no perfume, cologne, aftershave or other scented personal products as others may have adverse reactions.

Auditions:
Audition solo CDs (included on CDs of season’s music) and fact sheets will be available early in the season for those wishing to audition for solos or “small group” opportunities.
Any group of 3 or more chorus members may audition to perform material they have selected themselves.
