of Larry's musical career to date:
Toured
with Duane Eddy in the late Fifties.
Part
of the famous “Wrecking Crew” of Los Angeles - the studio
musicians for the Major Southern California groups throughout the Sixties.
(Well known for repairing and dismantling tracks that the
band’s musicians could not play)
Larry Knechtel
[from
the "musician associated with the Byrd's webpage"] Larry
Knechtel is a noted session man. As a member of "the
Wrecking Crew," he played many sessions with Phil Spector, mostly
as a keyboardist. In 1965, he played bass on the "Mr. Tambourine
Man" single,
and its flipside, "I Knew I'd Want You." Five years later,
he played organ on "Tunnel of Love" from the LP Byrdmaniax.
